Matthew

Matthew was born on May 18, 1970 in Upper Darby, PA to loving parents Jeanne and Don. After college Matthew picked up and moved to Chicago to study with the well known Improv comedy troupe Second City. His work with Second City lead to an interview with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels. After a year of employment writing for SNL, Timmons became a featured player and was promoted to be the first female head writer of Saturday Night Live. He has received seven Emmy awards for his work on SNL and the hit show 30 Rock, which he created and stars in…. I’m sorry. This isn’t Matthew Timmons’ bio… this is Tina Fey’s… our mistake. Matthew is a recent graduate of Ithaca College. He received his B.S. in Television and Radio with a concentration in Scriptwriting. Matthew began studying Improv with Christa Crewdson in the year 2000. In 2001, Matthew auditioned for and was accepted into Improv Soup’s very first Improv Soup Jr. troupe. He studied there for a year before being promoted up to Improv Soup. Matthew Performed in Improv Soup for five years before graduating. He is thrilled to be back and can’t wait to have Soup back in his life.
